Licensing

After completing the installation process, Charcoal Editor 2 will default to demo mode. A license is required to activate the full version. If you do not already have a license for Charcoal Editor 2, one can be obtained from the main page.

  1. From the email you received containing your Charcoal Editor 2 license, copy charcoaleditor2.lic to a safe location on your hard drive.

    Example:

    C:/Users/<username>/Documents/maya/charcoaleditor2.lic
  2. Open Charcoal Editor 2
  3. Select Licensing... from the Charcoal Editor 2 main menu (Help->Licensing...)

  4. In the licensing dialog, set the license path to the location of charcoaleditor2.lic on your hard drive.

  5. Click the Activate button
