Main Menu

The main menu provides access to all of the actions available in Keyframe Pro 2.

File

  • Import File(s)...
    Import one or more media file into the current project
  • Import Folder...
    Import the media files contained within in directory into the project
  • New Project
    Create a new project
  • Open Project...
    Open an existing project
  • Import Project...
    Import an existing project into the current project
  • Save Project
    Save the project to the current project file on disk
  • Save Project As...
    Save the project to a file on disk specified by the user
  • Export to File...
    Opens the export dialog
  • Capture Image -> To Clipboard
    Copy the current viewer image to the clipboard
  • Capture Image -> To Folder...
    Save the current viewer image a file on disk
  • Open New Instance
    Open a new instance of Keyframe Pro 2
  • Recent Files
    A list of recently opened media files
  • Recent Projects
    A list of recently opened projects
  • Exit
    Close Keyframe Pro 2

Edit

  • Undo
    Undo the last undoable operation (undo annotations if Annotation Tools visible)
  • Redo
    Redo the last undoable operation (redo annotations if Annotation Tools visible)
  • Range Start to Current
    Set the range start to the current playback position
  • Range End to Current
    Set the range end to the current playback position
  • Reset Range
    Restore the full playback range
  • Always on Top
    Keep Keyframe Pro 2 on top of all other windows
  • Project Settings...
    Show the Project Settings dialog
  • Preferences...
    Show the Preferences dialog

Playback

  • Speed
    Options for changing the playback speed
  • Play/Pause
    Toggle between play and pause states
  • Play/Pause (Bookmarks Only)
    Toggle between stepped playback (bookmarked frames) and pause states
  • Play Forwards
    Play the current timeline in the forwards direction
  • Play Backwards
    Play the current timeline in the backwards direction
  • Pause
    Pause playback
  • Frame Step -> Step Forwards
    Move the current position forward one frame
  • Frame Step -> Step Backwards
    Move the current position backward one frame
  • Frame Step -> Multi-Step Forwards
    Move the current position forward ten frames
  • Frame Step -> Step Backwards
    Move the current position backward ten frames
  • Go to Start
    Set the current position to the start of the file
  • Go to End
    Set the current position to the end of the file
  • Go to Range Start
    Set the current position to the range start
  • Go to Range End
    Set the current position to the range end
  • Go to Previous Edit
    Set the current position to the previous edit point
  • Go to Next Edit
    Set the current position to the next edit point
  • Looping -> Toggle
    Cycle through loop states
  • Looping -> Play Once
    Stop playback at the end of the playback range
  • Looping -> Loop
    When playback range end time is reached, continue playback at range start time
  • Looping -> Ping-Pong
    When playback range end time is reached, reverse direction and continue playback
  • Loop on Step/Scrub
    Loop when frame stepping or scrubbing in the viewport
  • Loop Step/Scrub to Range
    Frame stepping and viewport scrubbing loops at the start and end range (when enabled)
  • Lock Step/Scrub to Range
    Frame stepping and viewport scrubbing is bound by the playback range (when enabled)
  • Autoplay
    Start playing when a new media file loaded in the viewer

Audio

  • Increase Volume
    Increase the volume
  • Decrease Volume
    Decrease the volume
  • Mute
    Toggle the mute state
  • Audio Scrub
    Play audio when viewport scrubbing or single frame stepping

Video

  • Layout -> A/B
    Arrange the viewer in an A over B stacked layout (default)
  • Layout -> Horizontal
    Arrange the A and B viewers in a horizontal layout
  • Layout -> Vertical
    Arrange the A and B viewers in a vertical layout
  • Layout -> Grid
    Arrange the viewers in a 2x2 grid (displaying up to 4 timelines)
  • Layout -> Swap Timelines
    Swap the timelines in the A and B viewers
  • Annotations -> On
    Always display annotations (including during playback)
  • Annotations -> Off During Playback
    Display annotations (except during playback)
  • Annotations -> Off
    Hide Annotations
  • Overlays -> Off
    Hide all overlays
  • Overlays -> Safe Area
    Display a safe area bounding box
  • Overlays -> Grid
    Display a 3x3 grid
  • Overlays -> Center
    Display a center marker
  • Size -> Original Size
    Resize the viewer to fit the current media's resolution (if possible)
  • Size -> Half Size
    Resize the viewer to half the current media's resolution (if possible)
  • Size -> Quarter Size
    Resize the viewer to a quarter of the current media's resolution (if possible)
  • Size -> Double Size
    Resize the viewer to double the current media's resolution (if possible)
  • Fullscreen
    Resize the viewer to fill the entire screen
  • Pan/Zoom - Zoom In
    Increase the zoom multiplier
  • Pan/Zoom - Zoom Out
    Decrease the zoom multiplier
  • Pan/Zoom - Toggle Pan/Zoom
    Toggle the pan/zoom enabled state
  • Pan/Zoom - Reset Pan/Zoom
    Reset any pan/zoom values to their defaults
  • Rotate CW
    Rotate the viewer image 90 degrees clockwise
  • Rotate CCW
    Rotate the viewer image 90 degrees counter-clockwise
  • Flip Horizontal
    Mirror the viewer image horizontally
  • Flip Vertical
    Mirror the viewer image vertically
  • Reset Flip/Rotate
    Restore the original orientation

Bookmarks

  • Toggle Bookmark
    Toggle a bookmark on/off at the current position
  • Toggle Range Bookmark
    Toggle a range bookmark on/off at the current position
  • Cut Bookmark
    Copy the annotation contents to the clipboard and remove bookmark at current time
  • Copy Bookmark
    Copy the annotation contents to the clipboard
  • Paste Bookmark
    Create a new bookmark (if one doesn't exist) and overwrite with clipboard annotations
  • Previous Bookmark
    Set the playback position to the previous bookmark
  • Next Bookmark
    Set the playback position to the next bookmark
  • Previous Range Bookmark
    Set the playback range to the previous range bookmark
  • Next Range Bookmark
    Set the playback range to the next range bookmark

Tools

  • Swap Time Controls
    Switches currently displayed time control (global/range)
  • Global Time Control
    Toggle the display of the global time control
  • Range Time Control
    Toggle the display of the range time control
  • Playback Controls
    Toggle the display of the playback controls
  • Viewer Controls
    Toggle the display of the viewer controls
  • Menu Bar
    Toggle the display of the menu bar
  • Side Bar
    Toggle the display of the side bar
  • Move Side Bar Right/Left
    Switch the side bar location (right/left)
  • Annotation Tools
    Toggle the display of the annotation toolbars
  • Media Info
    Toggle the display of the media information overlay
  • Console
    Display the Console window
  • Maya Tools
    Open the Maya Tools dialog
