Keyframe MPX Documentation
Maya Tools
Maya Tools is a small toolset used to communicate with Maya from directly inside Keyframe MPX. With sync enabled, Keyframe MPX will update the current Maya frame whenever the playback time changes -- time changes made in Keyframe MPX are applied to Maya.
Note: Use the Maya to Keyframe MPX script for syncing Keyframe MPX to Maya (time changes in Maya update Keyframe MPX).
Opening Maya Tools
Maya Tools can be launched through the main menu (Tools->Maya Tools) or by using the Ctrl+Alt+M hotkey.
Note: A commandPort must be opened in Maya before a connection can be established. See Configuring Maya Tools for more details.
Syncing Maya
Clicking the Sync button establishes a connection with Maya. If the connection is successful, the Sync button will turn blue and changes to Keyframe MPX's current time will be reflected in Maya.
The Console will display an error message if the connections fails.
The connection will fail if Maya is closed, a commandPort is not opened by Maya or one of the applications is blocked by a firewall.
